Customer reviews of our tintypes

Below are written reviews from our clients about what they think of our work:

I recently purchased a tintype photo for my wife for our tenth wedding anniversary. She loved it, and especially appreciated that it came matted and ready to frame. She framed it right away and it is hanging in our living room. The instructions for caring for and framing the picture were very helpful. I look forward to having this tintype for the rest of our lives.

What a great experience and the photo turned out great! It made a lovely tin anniversary gift for my brother in law. Delivered on time and great service all the day around. Great with questions too!

I ordered a 5x7 as a gift for my sister. She was ecstatic upon receipt. Well done! Jen contacted me about a different ship to address i used and included a nice gift message for me, and mailed the invoice to me. Makes wonderful gifts! Highly recommended - this is my second order of more to come!

Restored campaign pin from 1864

This tiny campaign pin came to us with only one of the photographs present.  The photograph on the left was present, but what had happened to the photograph on the right was anyone's guess.  The request was for us to create a tiny tintype to replace what image had long been missing.  The image was recovered from a digital scan, and this is the result.  We also created a pin back by hand from a piece of brass sheeting and a small brass wire.  The pin back can now be glued with jeweler's adhesive to completely restore the full piece.

This is just an example of one of the ways we can restore images from what was considered lost forever.  If you would like us to help you get started, email Jen at digitaltintypes@gmail.com.

How do we package and ship out orders?

It is important to us that we treat your digital tintypes as the precious family memories that they are.  These life events travel with us as we grow and change through life.  We want your digital tintypes to last generations and treat them like pieces of art.

This is why we mat each order that we ship out in acid free matting and include care instructions with each digital tintype.  This is an extra step, but it insures that your digital tintypes arrive on your door step safe and sound and ready for display in your family home, or ready to wrap as a gift for a friend.
