We varnish our digital tintypes with a handmade sandarac resin obtained from the small cypress-like tree Tetraclinis articulata.

We offer four different plate styles for your digital tintype order. These styles are: black, brown, polished silver, and rose gold. You must select one of these plate styles before adding an order to your cart. Each one creates its own beautiful effect for your uploaded image. The polished silver and rose gold are highly reflective, whereas, the black and brown are a more matted surface.
